Welcome
Welcome

our community and a reflection of our Christian faith, we provide an
age-appropriate, developmentally-based curriculum in a loving
environment to
allow each child to grow emotionally, physically, cognitively,

Preschool
History
and
Staff
The
Heritage Presbyterian Preschool was
founded in 1994. In
2008, the
preschool
moved into the brand new Christian Education wing of Heritage
Presbyterian
church where we are thrilled to be working with church families and
families
from surrounding communities.
Our
caring staff has been together for many years.
Heritage Presbyterian Preschool holds a
State
of Ohio
License
for child care, and all teachers meet the state requirements to be
working with preschoolers. In
addition,
all staff members have been trained in First Aid, CPR, Communicable
Diseases,
and Child Abuse Prevention.
Curriculum
Interested
in what your child will be learning at preschool?
HPP
uses the Developmentally Appropriate Practice In Early
Childhood Programs,
published by the National Association for the Education of Young
Children
(NAEYC), as a guideline for curriculum development.
Our high-quality program provides
children
with activities to foster self-esteem, fine and gross
motor skills, academic
readiness, language development, thinking and problem solving
skills, and a
positive attitude toward school and life.
Enrichment
A
Musical Movement program is
included in the 3, 4, and 5 year old program.
We further enrich student learning by
exposing
them to various
educational presentations during class time.
Past experiences include The Museum
Center,
The Cincinnati Zoo, local
police/fire station personnel, and for the older preschoolers,
the Mason City
Schools school bus safety officers.
Classes
We
offer classes for children 2½
years old
(by September 30) up to 5
years old. We have
both morning (9:00
a.m. – 11:30
a.m.)
and afternoon (12:30
p.m. – 3:00
p.m.)
sessions for most classes.

Parent
Network
In
an effort to keep you
involved in your
child’s first school experience, Heritage Presbyterian
Preschool boasts a
strong Parent Network. Parent
Network
connects you to various activities throughout the school year so that
you can
meet other preschool families. Some of our favorites are a
trip to the pumpkin
patch, make-a-plate Saturday, family pizza nights, and mom’s
night out.
